Our quality control philosophy is simple: catch issues at the source, not at the end of the line. Every production stage has integrated QC checkpoints. Our goal is not to sort good from bad at final inspection — it's to prevent defects from occurring in the first place.
With 20 years of stationery-specific manufacturing experience, we know where defects tend to occur — zipper attachments, seam corners, print alignment — and we've built our QC process around preventing those specific failure modes.
Five-Stage Quality Control
Every product passes through five distinct QC stages before release.
Incoming Material Inspection
All fabrics, zippers, plastics, and hardware are inspected against spec sheets before acceptance. Material defects are rejected at the loading dock — not discovered on the production line.
In-Line QC During Production
QC inspectors stationed at each production zone perform continuous spot-checks during cutting, stitching, assembly, and printing. Issues are corrected immediately.
End-of-Line Inspection
100% visual inspection of finished products for cosmetic defects: stitching quality, print alignment, color consistency, and overall finish.
AQL Statistical Sampling
Random sampling per AQL 2.5 standards (Level II) with detailed functional testing. Zipper cycle testing, seam strength, material abrasion, and dimension verification.
Pre-Shipment Inspection
Final audit before container loading. Inspection report with photos shared with client. Products released for shipment only after passing all criteria.
What We Test — And How
Zipper Cycle Testing
Zippers undergo 5,000+ open/close cycles on our automated testing rig. We measure insertion force, travel smoothness, and pull strength. Only YKK and SBS zippers that meet published specifications are accepted.
Stitching & Seam Strength
Seam strength tested to 15kg+ pull force at stress points. Stitch density verified at 7–9 stitches per inch minimum. Double and triple-stitching at corners, zipper ends, and handle attachment points.
Material Durability
Fabric abrasion resistance tested per ISO 12947-2. Colorfastness tested for washing, light exposure, and rubbing. EVA and plastic components tested for impact resistance and low-temperature cracking.
Dimensional Accuracy
Every batch sampled for dimensional tolerance: ±2mm on external dimensions, ±1mm on compartment dividers. Cutting templates and assembly jigs maintain consistency across production runs.
Print & Branding Quality
Logo and print alignment verified within 0.5mm tolerance. Color accuracy checked against approved Pantone references. Adhesion testing for heat transfers and screen prints — wash and abrasion resistance confirmed.
Packaging & Labeling
Barcode scannability verified. Hang-tag and label placement checked against retail planogram requirements. Carton drop testing and pallet stability verification for export shipments.
AQL 2.5 — The International Standard We Apply
AQL (Acceptable Quality Limit) 2.5 at General Inspection Level II is the most widely accepted sampling standard in international trade. It means that for a batch of 5,000 units, we inspect a statistically valid random sample of 200 units — and the batch is accepted only if the number of defects falls within the AQL 2.5 threshold.
- Critical defects (safety, function): zero tolerance — any critical defect fails the entire batch
- Major defects (zipper failure, seam separation): maximum 2.5% of sample
- Minor defects (cosmetic, slight color variation): maximum 4.0% of sample
- Inspection reports with photos provided to clients before shipment release
- Third-party inspection available upon request (SGS, Bureau Veritas, TÜV)
