Tripod Turnstile Series
Tripod Turnstile
Tripod turnstiles are rugged three-arm barriers for controlled staff and visitor access. They handle 500 to 600 mm passages with mechanical or electromagnetic release, stainless steel housings, and IP54 outdoor options, with card, RFID and fingerprint readers.
Overview
Simple, tough, low-cost controlled access
Tripod turnstiles are the workhorse of staff and visitor access. A three-arm rotating barrier blocks the passage until a credential is accepted, then unlocks one rotation so a single person passes. With no doors, flaps or glass to maintain, they are the lowest-cost controlled entrance in the pedestrian turnstile gates family and the easiest to keep running in demanding conditions.
The release can be mechanical, spring-based, or electromagnetic for tighter control, and the stainless steel housing is available with IP54 protection for outdoor installations. Readers include card, RFID and fingerprint, so tripod turnstiles integrate with time-and-attendance and canteen systems. Communication runs over RS485, TCP/IP or Wiegand, which makes them easy to wire into an existing access control network alongside flap barriers or swing gates.
Their rugged design and low running cost make them a common choice for industrial and campus sites. Tripod turnstiles are supplied in single and multi-lane banks, so a row of three or four units can absorb a shift-change surge without crowding. With no glass or flap mechanisms to service, they tolerate weather, dust and heavy daily use better than enclosed gate types. See the full family on the product lines overview.

Applications
Where tripod turnstiles are installed
Durable and economical, tripod turnstiles are found wherever controlled passage is needed without complex barriers.
A tripod turnstile is the workhorse of staff and visitor control: it needs no glass, no power-hungry drive, and it survives weather when specified with an IP54 housing. Units connect to card, RFID, fingerprint or QR readers and can be linked to a vehicle access system so staff pass both the pedestrian lane and the vehicle gate with the same credential.
Factory staff entrances
Manufacturing plants control staff entry at shift changes with rugged tripod turnstiles wired to time-and-attendance.
Warehouse gates
Distribution centers gate personnel access to storage and loading areas, linking to card and RFID credentials.
Campus cafeterias
University and corporate canteens use tripod turnstiles at the counter line with card and fingerprint readers.
Construction sites
Site entrances use outdoor-rated tripod turnstiles to record worker attendance and control access to the site.
OEM / ODM Customization

Procurement Process
From specification to export-ready delivery
Every tripod turnstile order follows the same five-stage process so lock type, housing finish and reader position are confirmed before production starts.
Specification and RFQ
Share your drawings, quantities and site conditions. We confirm lock type, passage width and reader type.
Drawing review
Our engineers review the layout, confirm the stainless steel or painted finish, and set the release behavior.
Production and burn-in
Units are assembled under ISO9001 control and every unit is cycled to check the arm rotation and lock release.
Final inspection
Final inspection covers function, finish and packaging readiness before the batch is cleared for export.
Export packaging and delivery
Units ship in foam-protected export crates by sea or air, with installation guidance and remote technical support.
